When we first heard Lady Gaga was launching her own cosmetics line, we were super excited to see what she would bring to an already oversaturated market. And she didn’t disappoint.
The singer is famous for her dramatic, colorful and glittery makeup looks, and she has prior experience working in the beauty business following her partnership with MAC Cosmetics for their 2009 and 2010 Viva Glam campaigns. Not to mention she already has a fragrance to her name — Lady Gaga Fame — in collaboration with Coty.
Enter Haus Beauty. Or, Lady G’s own beauty company.
The first campaign shoots of Haus Beauty have been released this week and boy, were we surprised!
Of course, Lady Gaga looked flawless as ever — and completely Photoshop-free. In the four images that have been teased so far, the models (including Gaga herself) display no signs of skin retouching, a fact that’s very rare in the beauty industry and being praised by fans around the world.
“Love you for keeping it real,” commented one user.
“Love that her skin looks like actual skin! Not super smoothed out in Photoshop,” wrote another.
“Love how they show what real makeup application looks like and not beautified on Photoshop.”
“I see people commenting to fire her makeup artist… Um, this is what most makeup looks like before Facetune and Photoshop! I really appreciate the raw look to this campaign!”
Back in 2018, Urban Decay showcased unedited photos on the brand’s Instagram page. Not only is Lady G following suit, but she’s actually using minimal retouching on her models as well.
According to the teasers, the new line will include foundations, highlighters, eyeliners and more, so make sure you start making room for them in your beauty bag.
